| Abstract: | Objective：To study the expression and significance of NDRG1（N-myc downstream regulated gene-1） in oral squamous cell carcinoma（OSCC）.Methods： NDRG1 proteins were detected by immuno-histochemistry（IHC,SP method） in 20 cases of normal oral squamous epithelium and 65 cases of OSCC.Results： The results of IHC showed that in normal oral squamous epithelium and oral squamous cell carcinoma,the positive ratio of NDRG1 was separately 25 %（5/20） and 72.3 %（48/65）,They were all statistical significance.There was inverse correlation of NDRG1 expression and differentiated intramuscular infiltration during the TNM stage of the lymphatic invasion.However,expression of NDRG1 was not statistically significance with the patient＇s age,gender,or site.Conclusion： The NDRG1 may be a new tumor gene and play an important role in the development and metastasis of OSCC. |
