Evolution of Rolling Manipulation in Tuina Textbooks

Objective:To clarify the development and changes of rolling manipulation in the previous version of textbooks,and to provide guidance and reference for readers′learning and clinical application.Methods:From the Tuina textbooks that have been published since 1959,28 textbooks were collected and organized.Then reference CNKI and related books,to analyze and sort out the elements of the rolling manipulation,find the differences between the various versions.Results:Differences exist in six aspects of various textbooks,including classification,specific classification,and action essentials.Conclusion:The main operating methods of rolling manipulation have been inherited.The names of the specific techniques and the description of the method are quite different in each edition,but not in the function and application.Different versions of textbooks have their unique layouts in typesetting and various emphasis on content structure.The learning of different knowledge can be obtained from different books according to its characteristics.
