Abstract:
Objective To explore the teaching effect of(massive open online course,MOOC)combined with problem-oriented teaching method(problem-based learning,PBL)in ophthalmology teaching.Methods Clinical undergraduates enrolled in ophthalmology course in the second semester of 2019/2020 were randomly divided into two groups:traditional teaching group(lecture-based learning,LBL)(n=58)and MOOC combined with PBL teaching group(n=63).The teaching satisfaction of the two groups was analyzed by comparing the scores of theory and clinical skills and self-made questionnaire,and the teaching effects of the two teaching methods were further evaluated.To evaluate the role of MOOC-PBL teaching model in undergraduate ophthalmology teaching.And self-made satisfaction questionnaire to evaluate the teaching effect.Results Comparing the examination results of the two groups,the theory,skill operation,clinical thinking ability and total scores of students in mooc-pbl teaching group were higher than those in LBL group.The difference between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Mooc-pbl teaching mode was significantly better than the traditional teaching mode,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion the new teaching mode of PBL based on MOOC is helpful to improve the teaching quality of ophthalmology,and its role in clinical teaching of ophthalmology can stimulate students'autonomous learning,deepen the mastery of theoretical knowledge,cultivate clinical thinking and strengthen the cultivation of clinical thinking,enhance the operation level of clinical skills,and provide a new perspective for the teaching reform of ophthalmology in medical colleges and universities.
