| Abstract: | In this commentary, we present a brief history of the development of a national regulatory framework for xenotransplantation clinical research in Australia, including the reasons behind the imposition of a 5-year moratorium in 2005 and its subsequent lifting. We conclude with a summary of current relevant guidelines and standards. |
