Study on TC/GLU and LDL-C/HDL-C Related to the Incidence of Colorectal Polyp

Objective: To study the predictive value of the ratio of total cholesterol to blood glucose (TC/GLU) and the ratio of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C/HDL-C) for colorectal polyp (CP). Methods: A total of 2150 patients underwent colonoscopy in the Department of Gastroenterology, Jiangsu People''s Hospital from February 2017 to December 2018. The colonoscopy results, the collected data of blood TC, triglycerides (TG), HDL-C, LDL-C and GLU, and the ratio of TC/GLU and LDL-C/HDL-C were statistically analyzed. Results: According to the results of univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis, LDL-C/HDL-C and TC/GLU were independent influencing factors for CP. The results of the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve showed that the effect of the combined factors with LDL-C/HDL-C and TC/GLU on CP was significantly better than the independent factors. Conclusion: Multivariate diagnosis of TC/GLU and LDL-C/HDL-C ratios has a better predictive value for the incidence of CP.
