Abstract:
In this issue, Schienle et al. use brain imaging to examine emotion-related activation differences between men and women. Are those differences related to the way the sexes feel emotions? Are they hardwired? In this commentary, we briefly review sex differences in feeling, perception of emotionally evocative cues, and expression of emotions, and we discuss how they may be related to sex differences in the emotional brain.
