Clinical research on prevention of esophageal anastomosis fistula by prolonged esophageal mucosa

Objective To research the possibility in prevention of esophageal anastomosis fistula by prolonged esophageal mucosa.Methods The clinical data of 205 patients with esophageal cancer undergoing surgical treatment admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were analyzed retrospectively,and they were divided into the observation group (n=65) and the control group (n=140).Among them,patients with esophageal cancer in the observation group were treated with prolonged esophageal mucosa surgery,while those in the control group were treated with conventional surgery.The basic clinical data,surgical time,intraoperative bleeding volume and incidence of postoperative esophageal anastomosis fistula were compared between patients in the two groups.Results There was no statistically significant difference in the basic clinical data between the two groups (P>0.05).The operation time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in the intraoperative blood loss between the two groups (P>0.05).The incidence of esophageal anastomosis fistula in the observation group was 3.08%,which was significantly lower than that of 12.86% in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Prolonged esophageal mucosa can effectively prevent the occurrence of postoperative esophageal anastomosis fistula after esophageal cancer,which is a new method of esophagogastrostomy in a sense.
