Pyruvate metabolism of chorioallantoic membrane infected with influenza A

The initial rate of pyruvate uptake from the liquid medium by an explant of chorioallantoic membrane infected with influenza A PR8 strain is 30–50% higher than the rate of the pyruvate uptake by a noninfected membrane.This difference is statistically significant.
