Abstract:Objective To investigate the feasibility and clinical application value of separate bolus injection in single phase imaging technique in the examination of MSCT urinary system disease.Methods Nearly 2-year complete clinical data of 60 patients with urinary system diseases were enrolled.They were divided into groups A,B according to two different scanning methods,each group included 30 cases.Group A was treated with conventional plain scan,cortical phase(20~30 s),medulla period(55~60 s)and excretory phase(5~15 min)scan.Group B used flat scan and separate bolus injection in single phase scan;VR,MIP,MPR and CPR multiple post-processing techniques were used to reconstruct images.Results In 60 cases,there were 20 of renal pelvis and ureteral calculus,16 of congenital malformation,5 of ureteral inflammatory disease,8 of parapelvic cyst,2 of renal trauma,and 9 of urinary system of tumor.The comparison of renal intravascular contrast agent concentration was as follows Group A was renal artery(282±50)HU,renal vein(126±28)HU;Group B was renal artery(256±39)HU,renal vein(185±27)HU.There was no significant difference in CT values of renal artery between the two groups(P>0.05).The CT value of renal vein showed statistically significant difference(P<0.001).There was no significant difference in the urinary tract imaging between the two groups.Conclusion In MSCT urinary system imaging,images obtained by separate bolus injection in single phase imaging technique can show the lesions of the urinary system clearly,while,observing the renal artery,renal vein,evaluating renal function,reducing 48%of radiation dose compared with conventional scanning,and having reliable clinical application value.
