| Abstract: | Objective To evaluate the distraction osteogenesis technique for the treatment lockbife of severe lockbite in posterior arches.Methods After performing a corticotomy under general anesthesia, the posterior lockbitex was resolveby using orthodontic elastics.Results The lockbife was resolved rapidly without discomfort or side effects.Conclusion Corticotomy-facilitated orthodontics is an effective method to correct the collapsed arch and severe posterior lockbite. |
