Progress of study on the use of chitosan nanoparticles as a non-viral gene delivery vector

Chitosan is the only alkaline polysaccharide present in nature, which has been shown favorable physical and biological properties such as cationic nature, biodegradability, biocompatibility and low toxicity. Therefore, nanoparticles make from chitosan could have good perspective in serve as a non-viral gene carrier.
