Clinical Observation of Platelet-rich Plasma Combined with Tranexamic Acid in the Treatment of Melasma

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of the combination therapy of platelet-rich plasma with tranexamic acid in patients with melasma.Methods A total of 79 patients with melasma were enrolled and randomly divided into 2 groups.In control group,39 patients were treated with tranexamic acid tablets for 3 months.In treatment group,40 patients were treated with PRP once a month,three times in total,except oral tranexamic acid tablets.After the treatment,the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared,and the recurrence was observed after 6 months.Results After three months treatment,the mMASI score of the treatment group and the control group were significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.05).The mMASI score of the treatment group was significantly different from that of the control group(P<0.05).The curative effect of the treatment group(77.50%)was higher than that of the control group(56.41%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Course of treatment,the two groups had no significant adverse reactions.After 6 months,the recurrence rate between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination therapy of platelet-rich plasma combined with tranexamic acid in the treatment of melasma significant effect,fewer adverse reactions and low recurrence rate.
