The application of squamous cell carcinoma antigen for patients with recurrent cervical squamous cell carcinoma

Objective: To study the significance of squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCCAg) in clinical diagnosis,treatment and moniter for patients with recurrent cervical squamous cell carcinoma.Methods: All the medical records and follow-up materials of the patients with recurrent cervical squamous cell carcinoma from Nov.2006 to Jan.2009 were analyzed.The relationship of the SCCAg level and the two-year survival rate of the patients when in recurrence,during and after the treatment was analyzed.Results: When relapsed,serum SCCAg level,whether or not the serum SCCAg increased ahead of time,the serum SCCAg level of the patients before and after the treatment had affected the 2-year survival rate of the patients(P<0.05).Conclusion: The monitoring of the serum SCCAg level will have certain values in diagnosis and prognosis of patients with recurrent cervical squamous cell carcinoma.
