Clinicopathological analysis of IgA nephropathy associated with hyperlipidaemia

Objective To study the clinicopathological characteristics of IgA nephropathy associated with hyperlipidaemia, Methods According to patients blood lipid levels, 86 inpatients with IgA nephropathy diagnosed by renal biopsy were divided into hyperlipidaemia and non-hyperlipidaemia groups. The general conditions, clinical manifestations, and pathological data were retrospectively an alyzed, and compared between two groups. Results The serum uric acid and 24-h urine protein levels were higher and glomerular filtration rate （eGFR） was lower in hyperlipidaemia group than in non-hy perlipidaemia group （P〈0. 01）. There were no significant differences in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, hemoglobin, plasma albumin, hematuria degree and serum IgA level between hyperlipidaemia and non-hyperlipidaemia groups （P〉0. 05）. Compared with non-hyperlipidaemia group, the pathological injury was severer in hyperlipidaemia group （P〈0. 05）. The incidence of segment glomerular sclerosis, vascular injury, interstitial lesion and cresent was higher in hyperlipidaemia group （P〈0. 05）. Conclusions Compared with non-hyperlipidaemia patients, the serum uric acid and 24 h urine protein levels were higher, and the renal function, pathological injury and prognosis were worse in IgA nephropathy patients associated with hyperlipidaemia.
