Eagle‘s综合征的诊断和治疗

目的；研究Eagle's综合征的诊断和治疗。方法；对临床确诊为Eagle's综合征的84例行茎突截短术治疗。结果：痊愈56例，有效15例，无效13例。结论：经茎突过长和方向异常是咽喉，头面颈部疼痛的常见原因，扁桃体窝触到茎突或诱发疼痛症状和X线检查示茎突过长可明确诊断，茎突截短术治疗有效。

Diagnosis and surgical treatment of Eagle's syndrome

Objective:To investigate the diagnosis and surgical treatment for Eagle's syndrome.Methods:84 patients with Eagle's syndrome were shortened the styloid process through an intraoral approach.Results:56 cases were cured,15 patients improved,13 cases failed.The clinical effective rate was 84.6%.Conclusion:Elongated and misdirected styloid process are common causes for throat pain or foreign body sensation,dysphagia or facial pain.Diagnosis can usually be made on physical examination by digital palpation of the styloid process in the tonsillar fossa,which exacerbates the pain.The only satisfactory and effective treatment to eliminate symptoms caused by elongated or misdirected styloid process is surgical shorten.
