Abstract: | The aim of this study was to verify the short-term reliability of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) parameters for a damaged stump muscle in upper-limb amputees (n = 6). The motor threshold, response latency and map center of gravity in the mediolateral plane showed good reliability, whereas the map volume measure was less stable. The stability of most TMS measures across time supports the use of TMS in studying cortical plasticity in amputees. |
