| Abstract: | The results of determination of soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) and FT3, FT4, TSH are reported in patients with thyroid disorders.One hundred and fifteen patients with Graves' disease were divided into 5 (A,B, C, D, E) groups, and twenty-three patients with hypothyroidism into 2 (F,G) groups, according to their clinical features and thyroid functions. The results suggest that thyroid hormones are the main regulator of the concentration of serum sIL-2R it thyroid disorders. The contribution of autoimmune activity may be detected only in some patients with Graves' disease with ophthalmopathy,while the role of the immune system is masked by the hyperthyroid state. |
