Abstract: | A case of spinal cord injury treated surgically is reported; it is unusual in that it showed the classic indication for surgery—a documented progression of neurological impairment. The patient made a full recovery following anterior decompression of the spinal cord. We believe this case gives added evidence that surgery does have a valuable place in the management of certain selected spinal cord injuries. The literature is reviewed. |
