Research progress and oral symptom of graft versus host disease in oral cavity

Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(allo-HSCT)is the most effective treatment for malignant hematologic disease.However,graft-versus-host disease(GVHD)is a major complication of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and the leading cause of non-relapse mortality posthematopoietic stem cell transplantation.Oral cavity is the common affected organ in patients suffering from graftversus-host disease,and most often involving the oral mucosa,salivary glands,musculoskeletal system.This review focuses on the progress of the pathogenesis,clinical manifestations,diagnosis and treatment of graftversus-host disease in oral cavity.
