Abstract:Interstitial lung disease(ILD)has become a major problem threatening human health because of its high mortality and disability rate.At present,there is no specific treatment in western medicine,mainly using glucocorticoids and antioxidant therapy,but the clinical efficacy is not optimistic,while the traditional Chinese medicine focuses on consolidating the fundamental.It has unique advantages in the treatment of ILD and has become a hot spot in clinical research.The Diagnostic Criteria of TCM Syndromes for Diffuse Interstitial Pulmonary Disease published in 2012 further standardizes the TCM dialectical typing of ILD,which is of positive significance for guiding clinical diagnosis and treatment.However,we find that the criteria only slightly overlook the yang qi exhaustion syndrome and pay insufficient attention to it.According to our clinical and research findings,yang qi exhaustion is an important factor in the occurrence and development of pulmonary fibrosis.Therefore,this paper will discuss the role of yang qi exhaustion in ILD.
