| Abstract: | It is believed that neuropsychic factors are related to the pathogenesis of psoriasis. But it lacks enough definite evidence. Thirty psoriasis patients were made the examination of brain-stem auditory evoked potential (BAEP) and EEG. There were 9 cases indicating the functional abnormality of brain-stem (30% ), which, additionally, had an obvious pertinency with nail lesion. The BAEP of 15 patients with other dermatosis in control group were nor mal, while the EEG in both groups indicated no remarkable abnormality. The study of the possible mechanism of the alteration of psoriasis BAEP shows that certain functional abnormality of central nervous system lies in psoriasis, and it is more valuable to conduct the examination by BAEP than the one by EEG. |
