Diuretics in the Management of Congestive Heart Failure |
| |
Abstract: | The various classes of diuretic agents have distinct and very often complementary sites and modes of action within the nephron. By defining these differences, investigators have provided the clinician with rational bases for designing diuretic regimens that not only assure maximum benefits for the patient but also point to logical solutions for such problems as refractoriness and hypokalemia if these occur. |
