Fibrinolytic Therapy in Thromboembolic Disease

Lytic therapy has been shown to be effective for pulmonary embolism and deep-vein thrombosis and seems promising for acute myocardial infarction. Ongoing trials should help establish its place in the management of thromboembolic disease.
