中药抗阿尔茨海默病的研究进展

随着世界人口的老龄化,阿尔茨海默病的发病率不断上升,严重威胁着人类健康和社会发展.关于其发病机制目前仍不清楚,存在多种假说.基于不同的假说产生了通过不同途径进行治疗的方案与药物.中药可通过不同途径对机体进行整体调节,从不同方面发挥对阿尔茨海默病的治疗作用,具有广泛的应用前景.近年有关中药及其提取物防治阿尔茨海默病的研究日益受到重视,并取得了重大进展.本文综述了近年有关中药防治阿尔茨海默病的研究进展情况.

Progress in studies of TCM on Prevention and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease

The incidence of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is increasing as the life expectancy goes up. AD is characterized by progressive memory loss, associated with agnosia, dyscalculia, apraxia, and deficits in executive functioning. Although many hypotheses have been raised, the pathogenic mechanism of AD is still uncertain. Recently more researchers have been putting their eyes on herbal medicine in searching for the active candidates in AD therapy. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has shown a potential effect on Alzheimer's disease with various mechanisms of action, such as modulation of nervous transmitter metabolism, alleviation of neuronal apoptosis, influence on protein and nucleic acid metabolism etc. The study of utilizing TCM and their active component to prevent and treat AD has got a rapid progress. This article reviewed the recent advances in the studies of AD treatment by using TCM.
