Clinical Observation of CZES Type Stent Combined with Radiotherapy in the Treatment of Advanced Esophageal Cancer

Objective： To investigate the value of CZES type stent combined with radiotherapy in the treatment of advanced esophageal cancer. Method： 40 patients with advanced esophageal cancer were randomly assigned into group A and B,Each with 20 patients,patients in group A were treated with simple esophageal stenting,patients in group B were treated with radiation therapy 1 week after esophageal stent placement.Patient outcomes were compared. Result： ①esophageal stent placement success rate was 100%.There were 12 patients（60%） with chest pain above the level II in group A,It was significantly higher than that in group B（P〈0.05）.Two groups of severe reflux symptoms was no significant difference between the proportion（P〉0.05）.②The mean survival time of group A and group B were（3.64 ± 1.64） months and（8.22 ± 2.81） months,There was significant difference between the two groups（P〈0.01）.The incidence rate of esophageal stenosis had no significant difference between two groups（P〉0.05）. Conclusion： CZES type stent placement combined with radiotherapy can improve the life quality in patients with advanced esophageal cancer,and prolong survival time,it is worthy applying.
