Experiences of Prof. Zhang Xue- mei in the Treatment of Andrologic Diseases

The paper summarized the experiences of Prof. Zhang Xue- mei in the treatment of common andrologic diseases based on syndrome differentiation. Prof. Zhang is good at the integration of syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine and model andrology,in consideration of body constitution,emotions,social stress,climatic factor,living condition,diets and the others,as well as the complex of etiology and pathogenesis of disease. The treating principles are the combination of the treatment for the excess and the deficiency,the combination of the clearing and the tonifying,and the consideration of the secondary and primary and the elimination of the pathogens without the damage of the anti- pathogenic qi. The multi- target therapies were adopted,such as tonifying kidney qi,activating blood circulation,resolving stasis,cooling blood,detoxification,clearing heat and removing dampness,distinguishing the clear from the turbid,benefiting the transmission of Triple Energizers,soothing liver qi and removing stagnation. The satisfactory effects had been achieved,the duration of sickness was shortened and the recurrence was reduced.
