| Abstract: | This paper introduced the symptoms of functional constipation induced by the reasons of heat, qi, weakness, and cold in the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. How to choose the Chinese medicine was suggested on the basis of the causes. In addition, in order to help the physicians of western medicine select proper Chinese medicine, the differences between the classification and symptoms of functional constipation in Traditional Chinese Medicine and western medicine were also compared, and the selection of Chinese medicine for the elders and children according to the syndrome differentiation of constipation was introduced. |
