The relative volume of the muscle fibers, connective-tissue cells, capillaries, and ground substance and the surface area of the muscle fibers and capillaries per unit volume of tissue were measured in the myocardium of animals with diffuse cardiosclerosis accompanying experimental atherosclerosis.
