| Abstract: | Numerous articles identifying pneumomediastinum as an immediate complication of dental and oral surgical procedures have been published. A patient who developed a spontaneous pneumomediastinum as a delayed complication, apparently not directly related to the surgical procedure, is presented in this report. |
