Long term survival of cat retinal ganglion cells after intracranial optic nerve transection

Abstract:
Summary After intracranial transection of the optic nerve in cats the retinal stump of the nerve was injected with HRP. Surviving retinal ganglion cells can be retrogradely labeled at least up to 15.5 months of postoperative survival.
