Abstract: | A hemophiliac man who tested positive for the human immunodeficiency virus presented with facial lesions resembling molluscum contagiosum as the initial manifestation of systemic cryptococcal infection. Widespread molluscum contagiosum is being seen with increasing frequency in patients who have been exposed to the human immunodeficiency virus, and examination of biopsy specimens to rule out atypical fungal infection is mandatory. |
