Effects of semiconductor laser therapeutic apparatus on postoperative abdominal wound healing

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of the semiconductor laser therapeutic apparatus on postoperative wounds of patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Methods Totally 204 patients undergoing abdominal surgery in our cadres ward between August 2017 and May 2019 were chosen. Among them, 109 underwent the laparoscopic surgery, while 42 did Da Vinci surgery, with another 53 receiving the open surgery. According to the different operation ways, the patients were randomly divided into control groups and observation groups. All groups were given the routine disinfection treatment according to the general surgery, while the observation groups were additionally illuminated their wounds using the semiconductor laser therapeutic apparatus. Then the wound pain and healing, as well as the postoperative hospital stay were compared between the control and observation groups. Results The wound pain scores of the observation groups were significantly lower than that of the control groups 4 and 7 days after the operation(P<0.05) and the wound healing of the former were significantly better than the latter (Z=-2.490, P=0.013; Z=-2.077, P=0.038; Z=-2.370, P=0.018). The postoperative hospital stay of the former was significantly shorter than the latter(t=6.718, P<0.001; t=4.411, P<0.001; t=6.541, P<0.001). Conclusion Postoperative semiconductor laser irradiation can significantly relieve the wound pain, prevent infection and shorten the hospital stay of patients undergoing abdominal surgery, promoting their early recovery.
