| Abstract: | Objective To explore the discharge symptoms and psychological problems of lung cancer patients undergoing fast-track surgery care to provide the basis for the development of fast-track nursing. Methods In-depth interviews were conducted among 20 lung cancer patients undergoing fast-track surgery on the day of discharge, using the qualitative research methods. The data were collected and analyzed using the Colaizzi analysis. Results Three themes were extracted including pain and fatigue in the physical condition, self-accusation and anxiety in the psychological condition and decrease in self-identity and social activities. Conclusion Lung cancer patients undergoing fast-track surgery are faced with many problems at discharge. Therefore, their physical and mental condition should be evaluated and intervened to improve their physical and mental health, as well as their life quality. |
