The correlation of resourcefulness and life quality of patients with type 2 diabetes

Objective To investigate the status quo of resourcefulness of patients with type 2 diabetes and analyze its correlation with their life quality. Methods A total of 210 patients with type 2 diabetes were investigated using the general information questionnaire,resourcefulness scale (RS) and diabetes specific quality of life scale (DSQL). Results The RS score of patients with type 2 diabetes was (75.20±22.17) and was influenced by education and per capita monthly income according to the single factor analysis. The DSQL score was 59.17±12.16, and Pearson correlation analysis showed that it was negatively correlated with the total RS score and scores of all dimensions (P＜0.05). Conclusion Type 2 diabetic patients with higher the level of resourcefulness have higher life quality. Clinicians should pay attention to the level of resourcefulness of diabetic patients and adopt targeted nursing interventions to improve their level, so as to improve their life quality.
