Abstract:As a new research model,organoid can stably maintain the heterogeneity of multicellular tumor spheroids,and highly preserve the physiological structure and function of tumor tissue in situ.It can not only be broadly applicable to high-throughput clinical drug screening,and provide personalized treatment strategies,but also construct pathological models as a powerful tool to study the mechanism of tumorigenesis,multistage development and metastasis.At present,the similar organoids of esophagus,stomach,intestine,liver,pancreas,prostate and breast and the corresponding tumor organoids have been published,creating a new platform for in vitro culture.The kind of model has obvious advantages such as easy operation,relatively low cost and the availability of combination with other advanced technologies,so it is expected to be widely used in its related research and clinical fields.This article focused on the culture technique and application of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma organoid.
