Abstract: | Primary percutaneous coronary intervention of the culprit lesion is the treatment of choice for acute myocardial infarction, while treatment of the severe non culprit lesion is not indicated in the guidelines (Class III indication). More aggressive strategies that include initial treatment of the severe non culprit lesion may reduce the incidence of delayed occlusions in specific clinical settings. The two cases we describe support our point of view. |
