In memory of my classmate QIAN Yi-jian

QIAN Yi-jian, M.D., chief editor emeritus of the Chinese Medical Journal, passed away on July 6, 2011.Yi-jian was my closest classmate from St.John's University School of Medicine, Shanghai (Figure 1).Over the years,Yi-jian was always close by my side in all the important meetings in China (Figure 2) and the United States(Figure 3).
