TRANSPUBIC URETHROPLASTY COMBINED WITHPEDICLED-MUSCLE-FLAP GRAFTING IN THE TRE.ATMENTOF POSTERIOR MEMBRANOUS URETHRAL STRICTURES

Five cases of posterior urethral stricture weretreated by a combination of transpubic urethroplas-ty and pedicled-muscle-flap grafting with m. rectusabdominis. All patients had a history of pelvic frac-ture or local trauma, and had had an operation withunfavorable results. Follow up of 7-25 monthsshowed that all of them resumed normal voidingwith normalization of urethrogram. No orthopedicproblems and incisional hernia were observed.
