摘    要:
ObjectiveTo evaluate the efficacy andstability of excimer laser PRK for treatment of myopia and myopic astigmatism.MethodsTwo hundreds and eleven eyes of130 patients ranging from -1.50 to -16.00 diopter were treated by PRK with scanningexcimer laser. According to preoperative refraction, all eyes were divided into threegroups. There were 75 eyes in group 1 ranging from -1.50 to -6.00 diopter, 84 eyes ingroup 2 ranging from -6.25 to -9.00 diopter, and 52 eyes in group 3 ranging from -9.25 to-16.00 diopter. The bestcorrected visual acuity(BCVA), uncorrected visual acuity(UCVA),refraction and corneal topography were reviewed after surgery.ResultsAt 12 months after surgery, UCVAwas better than 0.5 in 97.3%, 84.5%, 53.8% of group 1,2 and 3, respectively, and better than 1.0 in 93.3%, 64.3%, 34.6%respectively. In the above groups, 88.0%, 64.3% and 25.0% had a refraction within ±0.50 Dand 94.7%, 81.0% and 28.2% were within ±1.00 D. Corticosteroid-induced ocularhypertension, haze and regression were the major complications following PRK. With theascendance of the preoperative refraction, the incidence of complications may rise. Aftersurgery, corneal topography showed round(60.2%), semicircular(12.5%), symmetric bow tieshaped(23.7%) and irregular patterns(3.8%).ConclusionsOur findings indicate that theexcimer laser PRK is safe, effective and stable in the treatment of low, moderate and highmyopia, but is much less effective in the treatment of extremely high myopia.
