Clinical effect of bronchofiberoscope alveolar lavage in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with respiratory failure

Objective To study the effect of bronchofiberoscope alveolar lavage in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) and respiratory failure.Methods Ninety patients with AECOPD and respiratory failure admitted to our hospital from September 2018 to March 2020 were enrolled and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,with 45 cases in each group.The observation group was given bronchofiberoscope alveolar lavage treatment,and the control group was treated with conventional therapy.The serum inflammation indexes,blood gas indexes,lung function and clinical efficacy between the two groups were compared.Results There was no difference in serum inflammation indexes,blood gas values and lung function between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).After the treatment,the levels of PCT,CRP,WBC and PaCO2in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),the levels of PaO2,SaO2,pH,FEV1and PEF in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate in the observation group(95.56%) was higher than that(82.22%) in the control group,with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Bronchofiberoscope alveolar lavage is effective,safe and reliable in the treatment of AECOPD and respiratory failure,and is worthy of praise.
