| Introduction | Anisakiasis is a parasitic disease of the gastrointestinal tractcaused by ingestion of Anisakis larvae present in raw or undercookedfish such as sashimi, sushi, ceviche, and lomi-lomi. This diseaseis not uncommon in Korea, where people habitually eat raw fish[1].
