Abstract: | Unicondylar knee arthroplasty is an alternative to tibial osteotomy for the treatment of medial or lateral compartment noninflammatory arthritis. It must be considered in the context of the other viable surgical options for treatment of this disorder. Appropriate patient selection and careful surgical technique will provide good to excellent results in over approximately 90% of individuals while preserving bone stock and ligamentous structures for revision if necessary. |
