Clinical efficacy of immediate implantation and restoration after minimally invasive tooth extraction on residual crown of maxillary central incisor

Objective To discuss the clinical efficacy of immediate implantation and restoration after minimally invasive tooth extraction on residual crown of maxillary central incisor.Methods 86 patients with residual crown of maxillary central incisor were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with43 cases in each group.Patients in both groups were treated with minimally invasive tooth extraction.Patients in the control group were treated with delayed implantation and restoration,while patients in the observation group were treated with immediate implantation and restoration.6 months after permanent crown restoration,the implant volume,alveolar bone resorption level,aesthetic index,complications and subjective satisfaction score were compared between the two groups.Results After the treatment,the observation group had implant volume of (0.92±0.34) cm³,implant length of (14.32±1.68) mm and implant diameter of (4.42±0.65) mm,which were significantly higher than (0.54±0.21) cm³,(11.98±1.21) mm and (3.55±0.76) mm of the control group,respectively;and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).6 months after the restoration,the near middle gingival papilla,far middle gingival papilla,gingival color quality,labial gingival curve,gingival height score and the total score of aesthetic index of the two groups were significantly higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05).The subjective satisfaction scores of denture attachment height,masticatory function and overall facial beauty of the observation group were (9.12±1.25),(8.98±1.27) and (8.70±1.26) points,respectively,which were higher than (8.27±1.32),(8.23±1.21) and(8.03±1.29) points of the control group,respectively,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion In the clinical treatment of maxillary central incisor,minimally invasive tooth extraction immediate implantation and restoration has a significant clinical efficacy,which can improve the subjective satisfaction,improve the tooth coordination,enhance the facial beauty of patients,without an increase in incidence of complications.
