| Abstract: | Objectives:To investigate the therapeutic effects of trabeculotomy on inborn glaucoma. Methods: Thirty inborn glaucoma cases (60 eyes) were divided into two groups:A and B. Group A received trabeculotomy; Group B received trabeculotomy combined with trabeculectomy. After the operations, intraocular pressure (IOP) and complications were recorded, followup period was more than 6 months. Results:There was no statistical difference in IOP between the two groups after the operation. The average time of hyphema absorption for group A was shorter than group B patients (P<0.05). Conclusions:Trabeculotomy is more effective than trabeculotomy combined with trabeculectomy in the treatment of inborn glaucoma. |
