| Abstract: | This paper shows that the content of the urine cAMP and cGMP of teenager swimmers at response is remarkedly higher than that of control group, the non-athelete students (p<0.001). The result of the present experiment is in accordance with that shown in our previous determinations of the plasma cAMP and cGMP in teenager swimmers and a non-athlete control group. These two results all reveal a fact that exercises or training would gear up cAMP and cGMP in both blood plasma and urine to a high-regulating level. For this reason we hold that urine can substitute for plasma in determining cAMP and cGMP. The recommended method is traumaless, simple in collecting samples and reliable in determinations, The practicality of the method shows itself especially well when a dynamic observation of a cAMP and cGMP in athletes is needed or when a contrast assessment of an athlete's bodily function before and after performance is to be pursued. |
