Abstract: | Oral lesions are an important clinical finding in Crohn's disease. We describe a patient who had extensive involvement of the oral mucosa and esophagus and histologically confirmed Crohn's ileocolitis. The patient had exquisitely tender, edematous, ulcerating lesions involving the lips, tongue, buccal mucosa, and posterior pharynx. Rapid and dramatic improvement of both the oral and the intestinal manifestations occurred after systemic corticosteroid therapy. |
