Abstract: | Infertility is most frequently caused by multiple factors within both the man and the woman.The approach to treating infertility must include exhibiting a definite interest in the case and conducting a meticulous systematic workup.In the husband, investigation includes history, examination and a sperm analysis; in the wife, it includes evaluation of the cervix, the endometrium, the uterus and tubes, and ovulation.Most cases of infertility can be handled by the general practitioner. In those requiring special technics, the help of a psychiatrist or other specialist may be required. |
