Totally laparoscopic gallbladder-preserving cholelithotomy:a report of 56 cases

Objective:To evaluate the indications,skills and clinical value of totally laparoscopic gallbladder-preserving cholelithotomy. Methods:The clinical data of 56 cases of totally laparoscopic gallbladder-preserving cholelithotomy from Nov.2008 to Jul.2010 were retrospectively analyzed. Results:Severe cholecystitis was found in 5 patients and treated by laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC).Muddy stone in 2 patients was difficult to be removed and transferred to LC.49 cases were successfully performed gallbladder-preserving cholelithotomy without significant postoperative complications.Patients were followed up for 1-14 months,and no recurrence of stones was found.The contractive function of gallbladder was favorable. Conclusions:Totally laparoscopic gallbladder-preserving cholelithotomy is safe,feasible and minimally invasive for cholecystolithiasis.The integrity of bile duct is reserved,the life quality of patients is maximally increased,but the surgical indications should be strictly grasped.
