Research progress and application of rodents antifertility agents

Rodents are important vectors and can spread variety disease. As a method for controlling rodents, anti- fertility agents reduce the population of rodents by reducing the fertility of the population. Compared to traditional ro- denticides, antifertility agents have some advantages, such as not to slow down the survival pressure of rodent commu- nity , not to stimulate population growth and longer aftereffect. This article reviews the developing history and the theo- retical basis of antifertility agents, evaluation methods and standards of the effect of the antifertility agents control and gives an overview of the practical prospects of new BIO botanical rodenticide.
