| Abstract: | Vasoactive intestinal peptide（VIP）is one of the most important neurotransmitters.VIP,which has a feature of wide distribution in human tissue and partakes variform biological function,participates in information transfer and physiological regulation of the body.VIP was deeply researched in recent years.In this paper,we overview the research progress of VIP in the following aspects：biological characteristics,biological function and main physiological effects. |
